A 25-YEAR-OLD man is expected to appear in court today (Fri) in connection with an alleged racist assault at a pub in Edinburgh.
The incident happened in the City Limits on Leith Walk on November 11, when a 37-year-old man of mixed-race man was allegedly racially abused.
The victim was alleged to have had a pint glass from the bar and smashed over his head during the alleged confrontation.
The victim, who was described as being “covered in blood”, and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh before being moved to St John’s Hospital in Livingston for plastic surgery on his wounds.
The accused is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Fri).
