A MAN was badly injured after being struck by a car in Edinburgh city centre on Sunday night.
Police said the 39-year-old was crossing Lothian Road at 11.50pm when he was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa.
Medics rushed the badly hurt pedestrian to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his injuries were described as “serious”.
Lothian and Borders Police said they were still investigating how the accident had happened.
No-one had been charged in connection with the incident.
However a police spokesman said: “We are still trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and would urge anyone who saw the collision to contact police immediately.”
