COMEDIAN Bill Bailey will be performing with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Scotland later this year.

The unique show – Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra – combines music with comedy

The idea first came about when the comedian was given control of the BBC Concert Orchestra for a Comic Relief special in 2007.

Since then he has performed with them at The Royal Albert Hall in London and is now touring the UK.

Ten date tour

Bailey has teamed up with conductor Anne Dudley to create a tour around the various instruments of the orchestra with his songs and sketches.

A classically trained musician, Bailey has combined his two talents to create the show.

The 10 date run starts in Cardiff on November 6 and takes in Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast, Liverpool, Coventry and Gateshead.

He will be performing with the BBC Scottish Symphony at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh on Sunday December 13.
