SCOTS heartthrob Gerard Butler wants to start a family – but has admitted he will have to find a woman first.
Speaking to chat show host Craig Ferguson on the Late Late Show last Tuesday, Butler revealed that he wanted to have kids, but might need a girlfriend before that happens.
The comments come hot on the heels of rumours of a romance between the Glasgow-born A-lister and Jennifer Aniston after they were spotted getting cosy on set whilst filming together.
But Butler has called the rumours “ridiculous” and joked endlessly about the gossip whilst promoting his new film the Ugly Truth.
“I need to find a woman”
The meeting between the two Scots resulted in the usual banter, with Ferguson asking Butler about a future family.
He said: “It’s about time you had some kids isn’t it?”
And with a big grin on his face, the actor replied: “Yeah it’s time. I just need to find a woman first I guess. I mean, that helps.”
When the audience went wild, the cocky hunk looked towards the audience and pointed at them, teasing: “eeny, meeny, miny, moe.”
Lolita
In the past Butler has been linked to a number of ladies including Aniston, Naomi Campbell, and Cameron Diaz.
But he has always brushed off the speculation, joking about getting married three times in one week in a recent interview.
The down to earth Scot has said in the past that he is too busy to hold down a serious relationship and that the love of his life is his pug Lolita.
Meanwhile his devoted female fans will be flocking to the cinema to watch Butler in The Ugly Truth, a romantic comedy with Katherine Heigl that opens August 7.
